Ready for the ultimate creative summer camp? We are!
What a way to welcome our new studio in San Rafael (1547 4th St.)! We know you and your family are going to feel instantly inspired in this big and bright art studio. Camps are with 12 campers only and will have every opportunity for hands on creativity. We will explore anything and everything ART! What Studio 4 Art brings to San Rafael is over 20 years of art teaching experience with a team of art educators that work in almost every school in Marin. We love what we do and look forward to inspiring young artists age 6-12 this holiday!
Our San Rafael studio has a large back lot that we will place shade structures on for outside movement and creating.
When social distancing allows, our day will include art walks around town and to local grassy parks.
1. Group Size/Management:
•We are limiting the number of campers to no more than 12 between the ages of 6 to 12. Each child will have their own work table, siblings will work at the same table.
•Campers will stay at their tables for the duration of the camp, however, we will be going outside for a snack and have an area where we can eat with the continued social distancing recommendations.
2. Masks and Sanitation:
•Camp session is still from 9a to 12p.
•Children will wash their hands upon arrival, departure, during transitions, after using the restroom, after touching their face, and whenever they wish. We will use social distancing while the children wait for their turn for the facilities.
•Each child will have their own set of art materials that they will keep for themselves and they will not share materials. Common items such as art tools are sanitized with soap and water after use and we will sanitize again at the end of each day.
•We are requiring the children to wear masks. Instructors will also be wearing masks.
•We will be using either a bleach solution, hydrogen peroxide solution, or Lysol (different surfaces need different products due to their nature) for sanitizing commonly touched areas at scheduled times of the day: in the early morning and afternoon when the children leave. We will have the front door and back door open for ventilation during our camp hours when possible.
3. Arrival and Departure Procedures:
•Only children and the teachers are allowed in the studio. You will be checking campers in at the door. We have lines outside the door 6’ apart to keep social distancing while checking in our families.
•We will be asking a set of questions to verify your child’s health and the health of your household upon signing in. We will be checking children's temperature with a touch-free digital thermometer.
•Children with a temperature above 99 degrees AND/OR who have a regular cough (dry or productive), runny or sneezy nose, discharge from the eyes, nausea, diarrhea, or rash will not be allowed to come in. If a member of your household has any of these symptoms, your child will be asked to stay home.
•Your signature will be required each day that your child's temperature and symptoms within 24 hours of drop-off time are normal and that they have not been exposed to anyone with any active infections/illness.
•Children must be able to provide their own self-care, such as washing hands or wiping after using the bathroom.
•Children will wash their hands upon arrival and will go to their assigned spot, and then wash their hands before departure.
•Children will be instructed by us on personal hygiene, safe distancing, and our procedures for each activity that minimize contagion. Please educate your child about proper hygiene practices too, this will take some teamwork.
•Upon departure, parents/adults will wait on the sidewalk and we will stand in the door and send your child out to you.
