Our expansion in 2020 with our Do Art Studio in downtown San Rafael was an amazing find. This beautiful redesigned studio (from floor to ceiling) came to life while the pandemic was hitting hard. The time gave us the opportunity to design with thought and intention and the results are everything! This is the perfect studio for those looking for fine art in painting (oil, acrylic and watercolor), drawing (all dry mediums), cartooning (manga and traditional), mixed media, printmaking (screen and relief), fashion design, animation, and craft in pottery and wheel throwing (we have pottery wheels, slab roller, and electric kilns), mosaics, and sewing (hand and machine). We have youth classes and camps for ages 3-16, adult classes and workshops, pARTies for ages 3-adult, scout badge workshops, and community events throughout the year.

Do Art Studios is open for in-person pottery painting every SATURDAY from 9a-12p. No sign-up is needed. We have brought back pre-COVID open studios too! Join us Saturdays from 9a-12p to create in clay, painting, or mosaics. Please note, some Saturdays we are closed for private events. Please call 415-596-5546 if you are concerned.

Our private parking lot located at the back of our building is convenient and free. S4A’s DO ART! studio is right downtown San Rafael on the westside close to Johnny’s Donuts, Prooflab SR, Pink Owl Coffee, and Pond Farm Brewery. Very easy to get to and with our own back parking lot for easy parking it is the perfect cherry on top! This Do ART! studio is a perfect option for those living in Belvedere, Corte Madera, Larkspur, Mill Valley, Ross Valley,  San Anselmo, San Rafael, San Francisco, Sausalito, and Tiburon.

Please check out our current in-person art classes, private pod learning, art camps, and do ART! kits and courses.

Studio 4 Art's art school begins with art classes for toddler students and continues through adult classes. Our focus is on fine art education that is introduced in a fun, exploratory, engaging, and messy way (just a little) and we have created a methodology that incorporates traditional art techniques with contemporary twists that allow all of our students to create works as unique as they are.

When it comes to teaching we are advocates for creativity and have a wealth of art educational knowledge we love to share, over 20 years of teaching in schools around Marin. Our projects and art curriculum is rich in skills and technique, offering an approach that is unique to Studio 4 Art, truly creating leadership skills through our program. We only use the best quality art materials and explore everything creative there is through our art-making.
