Do Art! Clay Kit
Do Art! is offering new clay kits for you to create your own private mini ceramics studio. We will include absolutely everything you will need, a thorough step-by-step booklet to follow, and an email for questions along the way. Think of how relaxing it will be to set up this clay invitation! Sipping a glass of chosen beverage, your favorite music playing, while making something you will be proud enough to give away but will want to keep for yourself. Create a slab constructed vase large enough to hold some of your favorite flowers!
Your kit to make your 10-12 inch vase will include:
•white pottery clay to be fired in a kiln if local to Marin County, air dry clay (no kiln needed) if out of county.
•clay tools
•rolling pin
•protective waterproof paper to protect your table surface
•underglazes to paint your clay (black, blue, red, yellow, green, these are mixable like paint too) or cold glaze applications for air dry clay
•glaze brush
When complete you will drop off your clay and we will dip in clear glaze to seal then fire in our kilns
-Kits will be ready for pick up 24 hours after your order or mailed
-Your finished artwork if needing fired can be dropped off in San Rafael or Novato studios
Come to Do Art (San Rafael Studio) or Studio 4 Art (Novato studio) to pick up your kit(s), set up your studio, make your art piece and glaze, and when you’re finished making, drop your artwork off at either location in the same box your kit came in which has been labeled with your name and email. We will dip your clay creation in a clear glaze to make them food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. then kiln fire. We will email you once they’re ready and available for pick up!
