A PROCESS ART WOMEN'S RETREAT IN SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, MEXICO

HOSTED BY KEBBY MCINROY & MEGAN SCHILLER OF STUDIO 4 ART & THE ART PANTRY

ABOUT

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US FOR A TRANSFORMATIONAL ADVENTURE TO IGNITE YOUR CREATIVITY AND DELIGHT THE CHILD WITHIN

During this 5 day, all-inclusive retreat, we will immerse ourselves in connection, culture, play, relaxation, exploration, inspiration, and process art in the magical town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Each day will include moments of meditation, reflection, rejuvenation, art making, and meandering through the cobblestone streets to soak up the creative spirit of San Miguel. We will visit local shops and art galleries, enjoy delicious Mexican cuisine, toast with drinks at sunset, and finish our days in the jacuzzi, watching live music or throwing ourselves a dance party!

We will also have plenty of time to relax and restore at the retreat house- an oasis getaway, complete with a pool, jacuzzi, gorgeous garden, and views of the city.

The process art workshops will be focused on multiple mediums including hand building with clay, printmaking, charcoal sketching, and a layered canvas that will involve painting, drawing, and collage.

No art experience necessary! This is process art, so the focus is on exploring the materials and tapping into our intrinsic creative expression.

The city of San Miguel de Allende

LOCATION

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, MEXICO

San Miguel de Allende is a quaint colonial town in the central highlands of Mexico.
It was named an UNESCO world heritage site in 2008 for its Baroque architecture, the mixed influences of European and Latin American cultures, and the prevalent art. While it’s popularity has grown from years of being named the best small city in the world by Conde Nast, it maintains a small-town vibe with a strong sense of community and a thriving art scene. Not to mention it is often noted as one of the safest cities in Mexico. But more than anything there is a magical quality to San Miguel that evokes a creative spirit and serendipitous happenings. To revel in this mystifying energy, creative inspiration is inevitable!

“Creative Catalyst Camp was an amazing experience. I cherish the time exploring the streets of San Miguel de Allende with our small group. The beauty, culture, and art were all so inspiring. It was the perfect balance of creativity and exploration. I will never forget the friendships made and the time we shared together in such a magical place. Kebby and Megan were so fun to be around, and great guides in creativity and travel.”

ACCOMMODATIONS

A RETREAT OASIS IN THE HEART OF TOWN

Creative Catalyst Camp will be held at Casa Lenno, a private residence in the heart of San Miguel, in a quiet neighborhood, yet only a 15 minute walk to the central “Jardín” —the community square in front of the famous Parroquia (church). This central location is within walking distance to all of our outings.

Wellness center meets boutique hotel at Casa Lenno. The property exudes a soulful vibe and is driven by exquisite attention to detail. It includes 8 guest rooms with 13 beds, and there are options at 3 price points, depending on single or double occupancy. Each guest room has heating and cooling, and a en-suite bathroom.

We will hold most of our art workshops in the property's spacious studio (bottom photo), perched by the trees with tall glass doors that open wide and invite the outdoors in.

Casa Lenno was built with a wabi-sabi philosophy in mind, a refuge for those drawn to the beauty of simplicity. Each of the guest rooms has something unique: a volcanic stone fountain, a jungle shower, or a sunlit terrace just outside the door. The communal areas include a commercial kitchen and dining space, living area, and beautiful garden with a heated pool & jacuzzi. The property is equipped with fiber optic internet and water purification system. Inspired by a modern rustic aesthetic, Casa Lenno is where simplicity, luxury, and comfort come together.
