About us: Studio 4 Art LLC is a hands on art studio for children, ages 18 months to 17 years, teaching in Marin County for over 21 years. The studio offers, art education for ages 4-17. Our classes range in art mediums and include acrylic painting, watercolor painting, drawing (in all mediums), cartooning, wheel throwing, ceramics, mosaics, sewing, photography and mixed media. The studio also features children's birthday parties and all year long art camps. We pride ourselves on winning many awards for our art classes as “best art studio” and enjoy teaching others how to teach art for those who do not have a traditional art educational background. This is a fast paced, exciting, educational, inspirational, and very fun environment. Studio Assistant

Studio 4 Art LLC is located in Novato, CA. We are looking for a part-time studio assistant, party leader, and experienced art teachers. Studio assistants do not need to have any prior knowledge of art or teaching but someone definitely looking for joy in their world through messy art making and the fun of being with children. Must be able to lift 30 pounds, comfortable with messy art, and don’t have a problem standing on your feet for hours. You will be assisting in the organization and running of Studio 4 Art LLC.

You must have:

• Customer service as priority

• Communication and verbal skills; enjoy speaking with adults and children

• Self Motivated

• Master of Multitasking

• Work in a noisy environment

• Extreme organizational skills

• Comfortable with working on an a Macintosh and ipad

• Not afraid to get a little dirty

• Must be 18 years or older

 

Children’s Art Instructor

Studio 4 Art LLC is located in Novato, CA. This position is perfect for teachers, artists, or college students wanting to bring creativity into their next position. Most classes are after 3:00pm. We train our staff in our mission and teaching approaches, unique unto other areas of teaching and connecting with children. We believe in the creative process, the ability to engage the mind to welcome curiosity, and the power art gives children, creating leaders one art work at a time.

SCHEDULE:
Flexible, 2-8 group classes per week, hourly fee negotiable based on experience. Depending on experience this may be a contract position or salary if full time, including benefits and bonuses.


Party People

Studio 4 Art LLC is located in Novato, CA, and Do ART is located in San Rafael, CA. This very flexible position, you let us know your availability and we schedule accordingly. Perfect position for anyone over the age of 18 who may be attending school, must be available for at least 2 weekend days a month.

For all positions at Studio4Art LLC and Do ART studios:

  • Teaching experience and/ or experience working with children and families

  • Art experience

  • We will train the right person for most of our positions available

You will:

  • Be teaching preschool, elementary school age, or middle school children fine art skills in our studio(s) depending on your skill level

  • Be trained in teaching Studio 4 Art’s philosophy and teaching style

  • Learn all of Studio 4 Arts products and services to permit answering questions and teaching customers the techniques and methods for creating their art projects

  • Be answering customer’s questions, answering the phones.

  • Facilitate programs/classes/projects as assigned by Studio 4 Art

  • Work part-time (10-20 hours a week) or Full time salaried position

  • Encourage student creativity and enhance art techniques

  • Assess needs of students encouraging them and being assistant to child initiated projects

  • Communicate with parents about what their child is learning or has mastered

  • Participate in professional development as required - weekly staff meetings

  • Actively participate in the continuing development of curriculum

  • Demonstrates mastery of content and pedagogy, knowledge of students and resources

  • Create an environment of respect and rapport, with a balance of fun

  • Organize physical space to create a safe, accessible, and resource-rich environment

  • Manages student/client behavior

  • Establishes a culture for learning

  • Communicate learning expectations to students

  • Utilizes questioning and discussion techniques

  • Re-stock and clean-up the tables and related supplies after each class

  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness

  • Maintain accurate records

  • Prepare and maintain art studio and materials

  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct and dress code

  • Show a capacity to improvise/interact spontaneously with students

  • Greet and assist all customers/students in orienting them to the studio
