Part-Time Art Teacher
Studio 4 Art is a small family owned, fun loving, business that began in 2008 teaching children fine art through classes, camps, party's, and workshops. As an artist instructor you will have opportunities to teach in schools through our after school enrichment program in Marin County, as-well-as in our studios located in Mill Valley and Novato. You do not need to have art teaching experience. Studio 4 Art will train the right person with an outgoing personality through our own curriculum and teaching philosophies, however you must have experience with groups of children. You must be able and very comfortable with following our curriculum, teaching our philosophy and aesthetics in art education, and adaptable to an ever changing environment. This job would be a great fit for a collage student or for anyone that would like more knowledge in art or teaching art. Hours for this position are approximately 2:00-5:00, teaching one to five days a week.

We will teach you every aspect of art in ceramics, painting, drawing, mosaics, mixed media, and more. If you have experience in any of these mediums already, that would be helpful. As an artist instructor you must be confident, be fun, loving and caring in nature, adept at creating lasting, heartfelt and authentic relationships with the children and families that enroll in Studio 4 Art programs, and very comfortable with effective classroom management that is in alignment with honoring each child and the creative process. Art instructors must be comfortable and happy to set up and clean up in the studio, and classrooms for off site classes, with joy and timeliness. You must be friendly, a team player, hard working and responsible, and also come to work with creative ideas and grow to create curriculum that benefit and uplift the studio as a whole. This is a part time position that has a ton of opportunity for growth as Studio 4 Art will be creating a nonprofit in the near future.

You must have transportation of your own, with proof of license and insurance. Please only apply if your schedule will allow you to work with us for one year minimum as our teaching schedule is a year commitment and our training for this job is very involved. You will gain amazing knowledge in art education, while also empowering the lives of children through art.

Birthday Party Wrangler

Birthday Party instructor is a weekend position. You must be available Saturday and/or Sunday from 9-5, this is an as needed position. As Birthday Party instructor you are responsible for overseeing all birthday parties in the studio, including being the contact person on the day of with the birthday hosts, leader of art project, making sure the party flows with great energy and all needs are met for the families attending, clean up and set up, both prior, during and after each party. Studio 4 Arts Birthday Party manager is committed to making sure each family that comes to the studio has a terrific experience and can’t wait to come back.
