Creativity and critical thinking, experimentation and original thinking are Studio 4 Art's philosphy for all teaching.
All classes include the price of all art supplies, glazes, and firings.
Classes taught by qualified instructors. Class size is limited.
Classes are taught with an 8:1 student:teacher ratio. Toddler classes require an assistant (Mom, Dad, or a helper).
When you bring your own materials, the fee is $12/hour for any class.

Working from nature, still-life, photographs and independent ideas, students will be introduced to specific drawing fundamentals
and techniques including line drawing, value, shape, pattern, texture, shading, perspective and composition.
Mediums that are introduced are graphite, ink, charcoal, chalk pastel, oil pastel, graphic markers,
conté crayons, colored pencils, ink pencils and water pencil.
Personal style is celebrated and age appropriate activities will be executed.
Studio 4 Art offers classes and workshops with experienced, educated instructors within an inspiring,
supportive environment. Out light filled space supplied with clay tables, wheels for throwing, slab roller, extruder and slumping and humping molds.
Clay is high fired in our kiln.
Students will learn techniques in clay, design, elements, decorating and glazing.
Incorporating drawing fundamentals, students will add color mixing, layering, studies from art
history, traditional and non-traditional techniques, and independant ideas into their curriculum. Mediums explored are watercolors, tempera,
acrylic and oil.
For children over 5, we will explore machine sewing creating aprons, pillows, fleece hats,
skirts, animals and creatures. Most items are made by creating your own pattern.
Paint, sculpt, draw. Young arist explore a variety of mediums and create works with illustration, acrylic paint, pastels, water color and pencil.
Students are guided, encouraged, and yet let free to explore and ignite their imaginations. 2D and 3D fine art skills will be taught.
Do It Yourself workshops will be hosted approximately once a month and are for our adult kids.
Various themes include mosaics, sewing, printmaking, screen printing, and printing on wet bodies of clay.
Come play with a new idea and relax sipping drinks and munching on some appetizers.

From single panel, 3 or 4 panel comic strips, comic books, to character building,
cartoonists will begin to understand how to create a cartoon. Classes focus on expression,
shadow, stance/body language, perspective and dialog balloons.
Students also explore how to create movement themes, sequence and examine the
importance of exaggeration.
Wheelthrowing begins with learning to center clay, pull up walls, shaping and the final detail
of trimming a foot. Items will be thrown from high fire clay that will be enhanced with hand decorated
details using glazes, underglazes and textured techniques. Larger vessels will be a goal for students, ages 10 and above.
Using felt to create monsters, dolls, robots, pillows, holiday items or anything the imagination
brings. Class will focus on backstitch, over sewing, blanket and running stitches. Also learn how
to appliqué and sew on patches to existing items such as clothes, pillows and cloth bags.
A time to come explore and get a bit messy. This class will instill the love of art and creativity in your toddler.
Four stations set up each class period. Child with assistant (Mom, Dad or a helper) a must for this class. Limited to 8 children.
Studio 4 Art's Preschool program will ignite your child's imagination while teaching the fundamentals of art
with an instuctor lead project. Students will work in all materials such as clay, painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, sewing, and mosaics.
Homeschooling class is taught on an individual basis.
Learning technique, and terminology with room for exploration,
diversity and individuality. Our homeschooling class is here to support your family's teaching philosophies.
Students are introduced to traditional techniques, non-traditional techniques, art history, terminologoy and materials.
Students gain knowledge in pottery, painting, drawing, cartooning and sewing.
